IAWP represents each member in the nation's capital. Dues help finance a legislative liaison who speaks directly to or representatives to help them understand the mission of the Workforce Systems. The liaison's work has helped prevent extreme budget cuts, which could have meant job losses in our state. The IAWP Legislative Committee helps members understand complex legislation that could affect our jobs through Action Memos sent to local chapters. It maintains the member network and assists members in contacting their representatives to express concerns about the Workforce Systems.
